Dogon Defense: Lower Gear Requirements Featured

Dogon DefenseCannon Main + Sheriff + Shaman.

Cannon mains shine in this TBS although other mains can do it too with either a Sheriff or Cannoneer plus either Hwarang or Healer for those with lower + support weapons like I have here since you'd definitely need more 1 hitting power in this mission.

I don't have the Chaotic Ruler title so for a first run on this char I had to get all other buffs I can get like Event Snowflakes (+10% ATK, +10% DEF) and Minotaur and Rudolph Statues just in case I'd need them. Check out the video and you be the judge.

Dogon defense is a base defense mission with mobs coming at you from all sides, or actually just 3 if you primarily stick to the West side of the base. You will need a few traps to solo this or else you can fail even with very good gear.

This mission has a fixed number or turns so stalling won't help, I didn't bother counting but it's not a lot. Just keep the base in tact while staying alive and awake til the end.

Tips for Dogon Defense:
  • Stay within the base walls and close to the main building.

    Although you could go outside to lure the 2 mobs outside further North at the start of the mission, it is important to stay close to the base after the 1st cutscene (after the first 3 turns). This is so that you can easily go from 1 side to another depending on where most mobs are.

    If you do not have any Cannon users, it will be best to lure cannon mobs staying behind walls with magic or scrolls to avoid going outside. Walk away from them after getting their attention and they should follow.

  • Set traps at North, West and South only.

    Focus your traps on these 3 sides as shown on the video below.

  • Concentrate on the West.

    After the 1st cutscene, get all your mercs to the West side and start killing from there. 2 mobs from East would destroy the Vehicle Bay but don't panic and just clear mobs coming from West and South.

  • Prioritize killing untrapped mobs first.

    Net traps can contain mobs for a full 3 turns, plenty of time to kill untrapped mobs first. That is if you're not cheap and use Net Trap IIIs of course.

  • Be careful not to get stunned.

    Equip all mercs with awake scrolls and watch your stun counters. It is like unavoidable to get hit for 4 consecutive turns here so...
